Error al compilar jabber2

Hola amigos estoy intentando instalar jabber2 en un servidor red hat enterprrise 4... pero me sale un error en la compilacion... que se los detallo

es probable que no tengas instaladas las librerias necesarias:

libgsasl
libgsasl-devel

Otro punto es que hayas compilado las librerias e instalado las mismas en el path standar (/usr/local/lib) y que este no este en el fichero ld.so.conf debajo del direcotorio /etc

include /usr/local/lib/

Verifica eso y nos cuentas como te fue.
