bien hola a todos soy nuevo en este foro espero que me puedan colaborar.
el asunto es que instale los driver de la nvidia tnt 64mb en
Fedora Core 6 :
kmod-nvidia-legacy
xorg-driv-nvidia
listo bien reinicie me sale el logo de nvidia voy a nvidia-setting y en donde dice

nose ke pasa pero no puedo aprovechar la aceleracion. adjunto imagenes..

no amigo sigue igual nose pero puse la linea como me dijiste alfinal de el archivo xorg.conf reinicie y inicio normal pero mire el archivo xorg.conf y esta asi se borro la linea que le puse nose que paso.

Quien es livna-config-display
y por que esta saliendo ese nombre en el archivo de configuracion? Algun programa esta editando el archivo de configuracion al inicio. Usa ese programa para dishabilitar la extension.

bien lo que pasa es que en los repositorios Livna Repository de fedora 6 hay una archivo llamado kmod-nvidia-legacy 7185 que es el driver que sirve para la tnt que es la tarjet que tengo y cuando le dije instalar el se encarga de instalar todo solo hasta el archivo x11-dri-nvidia-legacy y el mismo renombra el archivo xorg.conf y crea esa configuracion que te e estado mostrando por eso dice livna-config-display porque el mismo creo el archivo xorg asi.

De acuerdo. De todas maneras algo esta modificando el archivo en momento de reiniciar y hay que identificarlo. Tal vez algun archivo de /etc/sysconfig te de una pista. Mira en la documentacion de /usr/share/doc/<x11-...>
Otra cosa que puedes intentar es colocar la opcion Option "AllowGLXwithComposite" "true" bajo la Seccion "Device". Veamos si esa no se modifica.

HolA amigo pues bien el dia que puse esa linea se volvio loco fedora y no queria entrar a la x quedaba era en consola despues entro y se ejecutaba beryl como lo tengo instalado pero nose porke se ejecutaba solo y se ponoaa toda la pantalla en blanco me toco desistalarlo.
pero el problema persiste nose si me puedas seguir ayudando.

Pues debe ser por eso que no se recomienda composite con xgl con esas tarjetas...
Descubriste como desactivar el cambio del archivo de configuracion?

Hola amigo pues en este momento estoy en la Universi, pero antes de salir cerre la sesion y entre en modo terminal mate la X y edite el xorg.conf colocandole al final la linea que me habias comentado

listo no lo reinicie sino arranque la X de nuevo y inicie sesion y abri un terminal y ejecute

y funciono xglgears y me salio en una ventana el engranaje que te muestra cuando ya esta lista la tarjeta.
y mire en nvidia-seting y ya no me salia el error de openGl/Xgl
y ahora pues tengo una duda instale beryl 2 y lo ejecute beryl-manager
y en ventana le dije que beryl pero me salia un error que por falta de tiempo no pude copiar pero mañana en la mañana te lo posteo para ver si me puedes ayudar y esperar si mañana cuando prenda el pc no se borra la linea que le puse al xorg.

Seguramente te salio que necesitas el soporte de composite, beryl lo necesita. No se si haya una solucion aparte de conseguirte una geforce para poder usar beryl.
