hace tiempo me salio este error

Y lo solucione asi

despues
rpm -Uvh python*rpm --force
comensara a reinstalara el pyton completo despues solo le hacen yum update y funcionara nuevamnete nuestro yum ha estos pasos los ice en mi centos 5.5
Nota: notaran que despues de reparar podran acyualizar nuevamente su centos pero tambien se acyualizara phyton y regresara el problema y nuevamneta toca realizar los pasos que describi por ejemplo siq quieren instalar yum install webmin entre otros
