Que tal Colegas, bueno ya mismo dan las 9:00 p.m., y me he demorado cerca de 4 horas instalando y actulizando la nueva Distro CentOS 4.2, me demore cerca de algun tiempo para bajarme, pero bueno finalmente ya me lo baje, y tambien le hize un test de los discos, derrepente hubo algun iconveniente en el download.

La instalacion no fue muy complicada, los mismos pasos que las distros anteriores, pero bueno algo, que si se debe tomar en cuenta, que si se quiere instalar paquetes al los que el SELinux le "estorba", es mejor dehabilitarlo desde el incio para no tener problemas depues, igualmente con el Firewall.

Facilmente se actuliza primero importanto la clave GPG de CentOS

Dependiendo de el tipo de coneccion de internet (es bueno saber un "poco" de wireless je je je y las MACs y bueno tambien tener unos cuantos ahorros por ahi, para poderse comprar una buena antena de Grilla, ejem disculpen, que antena???) mas o menos se demorara cerca de una hora mas o menos, para bajarse algunos MBs de paquetes

Y bien! se actualizo sin problemas, pero solo tengo un humilde access point, al que baja la señal...señal... "compartida" (creo que quedaria mejor asi) y bueno gracias a la falta de tiempo y dinero (los ultimos ahorros se fueron en la antenna, "otra vez! que antenna??") no me he podido comprar un switch, asi que me aventure a instalar el driver para mi antiguita tarjeta D-Link DWL-520+

Esta es una excelente direccion , bien explicada como instalar el driver en el CentOS 4.2

El 192.168.0.50 es la direccion del AP, y 192.168.1.3 el Gateway, bueno le cambie la MAC del AP, je je je, pero bueno no me importaria compartir la coneccion, de hecho, fuera bueno reunirse con gente por aca para andar intercambiando conocimientos de Wireless, asi que ya saben avisaran

Eso es todo por ahora, seguire posteando la configuracion, del DNS, del Jabber y de el email

confirmado, el selinux es algo que a la final viviremos con él por lo que veo y no parece malo, pero requiere de entendimiento de mucha comprensión y muchos paquetes no se sienten cómodos trabajando por defecto con él, por lo que lo más saludable es deshabilitarlo.

10 años de desarrollo

SELinux son algo asi como 10 años de desarrollo, que debemos aprovecharlo al maximo. Es verdad al principio es muy confuso pero poco a poco debemos ir mejorando nuestro entendimiento sobre SELinux.
Ademas contar con un modulo como SELinux nos permite tener un sistema aun mas robusto.
